The Peaceful Plot, it’s not just for children…
The Peaceful Plot was created as a sensory haven for those who are looking for a tranquil environment out of season. The chirping of the Cockatiels & Budgies, the quiet of the trees and light sounds of the sensory items have all been placed to encourage reflection and relaxation for those struggling with their mental health, Alzheimer’s, disabilities or just suffer from sensory overload.
Opened by local charity SHINE and situated on the nature reserve of the Park, the walk-through aviary is nestled within the wildlife and a perfect place to retreat to.
Whether you walk-through to meet the birds or just enjoy the sounds of nature around you, this beautiful area is a joy to be in.
Lincolnshire Wildlife Park’s funding manager, Wendy Moore has said:
“I was so happy to be able to be a part of this new development within the sanctuary and work alongside SHINE to create such a joyful and tranquil place for the visitors. With poor mental health being on the rise, we are proud to offer these unique services in our beautiful countryside surroundings.”
